Then this week, week of September 21, 2026, the driver side door locks stopped working. They are now telling me the actuators on that side have now failed and I need to pay out of pocket for it again. I am concerned there is an underlying defect in the vehicle not being addressed.
It is rather expensive out of pocket and although there is now a tsb the tsb does not cover the danger of overheating an engine and being stranded on the side of the road. Also the coolant leaking causes an unseen hazard by polluting water supplies with one of the more known toxins to the water and environment.
I stepped on the brake and there were no brakes. I put vehicle in neutral and pumped brakes a few times. I was not traveling that fast so the vehicle stopped before I hit the person in front of me. I drove 10 mpg with my hazards on to the nearest gas station.
