While driving through an intersection, another vehicle turned into my path. Even though I slammed on the brakes my vehicle struck the other vehicle head on. The air bags did not deploy. My vehicle was totaled due to front end damage.
Upon impact, side airbags did not deploy. While pulling out the consumer's vehicle was t-boned in the side by the other vehicle. Heard a tire squealing, and held on to the steering wheel when vehicle was hit. The consumer's back and neck were sore, but no one was taken to the hospital.
Several months later had another tire separate so installed the extra tire I had. In March 2024 the wife told me the van was shaking again. Found two tires separating. One was from the newer purchase.
Transmission slips and jerks when driving , gas sometimes spups.
Headlights are dangerously dim at night. New bulbs, new headlight lenses, no solution. Same problem with my 1999 chevy venture.
The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the vent tube at top of fuel tank was corroded and that the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,000.
