What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Door had creaked without warning it flew open and fell off catching me and my seatbelt pulling me out! The drivers door feel off and I see that this is common! You never thought someone would hit the asphalt or another car would hit the door and crash. Why haven't they rewelded or added extra metal strength to these.
Dt: 1990, chrysler, lebaron trans axle floor shifter park interlock system. Took the key out and without putting vehicle into park the car will roll even when the motor is turned off. This happens every time consumer stopped the vehicle. The car rolled down the hill and damaged the car, house, and fence.
Driving down the road the transmission kicked down into low gear. Almost causing an accident. When first started it goes fine the minute it warms up it will kick down into low range again, and it will do it any speed.
Tl contact owns a 1995 chrysler lebaron convertible. While the contact was driving approximately 40 mph the front driver and passenger side air bags involuntarily deployed. There were minor injuries. The vehicle was able to continue operation with caution. The dealer was notified which there was no resolution.
When the driver attempted to use the emergency brake, he noticed smoke surrounding the dashboard area. He removed the instrument panel and checked the wires. The contact found exposed wires and a gap between the wires. The vehicle will be taken to the dealer for inspection.
I looked up 5 recalls on my vehicle, 1991 chrysler, lebaron convertible. My complaint is I was not notified of these recalls and today I experience the bad brakes which could have caused me to die in a collision from my brakes going out and problems to my rear wheel.
