What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
From the front steering shaking horribly while braking to both rear struts breaking to rain water getting inside the doors and flooding the interior and shorting out the electric windows.
While driving 40 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but the brakes failed to respond. The vehicle accelerated independently and the steering wheel failed to turn left or right. The failure occurred without warning. The contact could not stop the vehicle and crashed into the preceding vehicle.
Driving on 195 west heavy rain vehicle hydroplates in front of us no where to go but to hit the other vehicle imy main question is my airbags never came out..questioning defect...my vehicle was totaled and towed away I am the owner of this vehicle.... Updated 4/24/2015
My engine knocks it's really loud 3 different people told me 3 different things so I brought it into a chrysler shop and they told me that I should just buy a new car that this happens to a lot of the 2002 chrysler sebrings. So I asked them what's wrong and they told me I would need a new engine
Horn blares randomly and cannot be stopped without removing the horn relay making the horn (a safety requirement) inoperable. Dealer was able to repair the issue, however, at a cost of over $672 as the dealer marked the replacement part 1az56xdvae driver airbag.
Back side also has become extremely loose and grinding, advised it also will separate and break, causing an accident and loss of control of vehicle. It happened at the same time the passenger front side broke down. The vehicle was not and has not been in a passenger side accident.
