What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
While slowly backing into a parking space in an underground hotel garage, the rear parking sensors never activated — no audible warning at any point — and the vehicle's left-rear corner struck a concrete wall corner, cracking the taillight and damaging the bumper/quarter panel (~$3,000 repair).
On June 30, 2026 at approximately 1:13 PM EDT, my wife was maneuvering with the transmission in Drive to park our vehicle in the lot of our home. While in Drive, the driver's seat unexpectedly moved backward on its own, consistent with the vehicle's "Easy Access" seat memory feature activating.
I was driving a 2025 Genesis GV80 loaner vehicle at approximately 65-70mph when I began to hear a loud noise and feel shaking consistent with a tire issue. A tire pressure warning appeared on the dashboard. I immediately slowed down and attempted to safely move to the shoulder of the road.
The Forward Collision Warning in my GV80 activated unnecessarily, which resulted in the car to break without need / warning, this resulted in the GV80 being hit from behind, the GV80 was pushed forward into another vehicle. The vehicle is unsafe for driving and has remained parked.
As I was exiting a driveway onto a 4 lane highway(2 lanes, divider, 2 lanes) I was attempting to enter into the nearest lane when my car completely pulled the wheel into the outer lane where an oncoming vehicle was and there was impact deploying airbags. I did not have the driving assist engaged.
Suddenly my vehicle lost power and I hit a parked car . The right front corner was damaged. The driver side airbags, deployed the passenger side air bags did not deploy automatic break did not work. The safety warning did not go off .
