On June 30, 2026 at approximately 1:13 PM EDT, my wife was maneuvering with the transmission in Drive to park our vehicle in the lot of our home. While in Drive, the driver's seat unexpectedly moved backward on its own, consistent with the vehicle's "Easy Access" seat memory feature activating.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V229000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the two local dealers had shut down, and the other authorized dealers were extremely far away. The local dealer was contacted.

I was driving my 2022 Genesis GV80 on Sunday April 5th, 2026 when the vehicle started to overheat. This is the second incident that happened due to the vehicle overheating. The first time reported was in December 2025 at a cost of $3400 out of pocket.
After a panic stop, back seat (opposite the driver seat) automatically collapsed. While I had it inspected at a Genesis dealership, hearing that Toyotas are experiencing a similar problem due to seat springs makes me wonder if that happened to my vehicle.
Genesis Connected Services is not functional on vehicle since December 23 2025. This module controls Emergency Services and communications, Navigation and vehicle safety features. Genesis has been contacted more than 5 times already and no solution or fixes have been done as of todays date.
