What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
At speed less than 25 mph, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) did not work. At cross roads this CMBS will not work when a vehicle comes from the side. This will work only if it detects the vehicle's presence in front for more than 3-5 seconds.

The auto-stop/start feature in this vehicle, when activated, causes the engine to stall when starting back up. We have had the battery and starter both replaced, and it is still causing an issue. Now, even with the system deactivated, the vehicle will stall, most likely based on the increased wear on the starter.
The driver sustained injuries on the wrist and knees while the contact sustained injuries on the chest, and a burn on the neck from the seatbelt. Medical attention was required for the injuries sustained. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The failure mileage was 130,000.
This is a safety issue in the event of accident or fire and if third row passengers need to exit the vehicle quickly, or to be able to access child in car seat.
