What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
While driving my s2000 and turning on curvy roads the vehicle would not turn correctly and ended up in a field to the side of the road. We noticed the upper control arm spot weld broke free meaning the upper suspension mount was not connected and caused the incident.
This 2005 honda s2k lower control arm broke and then bent the tie rod at a 45 degree angle and which sent the tire under the unibody of the car. Which for a rear wheel drive car is very bad. You will have no control of the car in this scenario.
I got out to see what happened and several witnesses stopped to see if I was ok from there descriptions I gathered that the front driver side wheel had buckled under the car causing it to pivot on that wheel that was now parallel to the ground and still partially attached to the car upon further inspection I found the…
The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure and current mileages were 97,000.
Rear shock absorber leak resulting in component failure and unsafe handling and braking.
The front air bags failed to deploy. The insurance company stated that the vehicle must be traveling at 35 mph for the front air bags to deploy. The contact sustained injuries to his neck and back. The vehicle is at the body shop for repair. The current and failure mileages were 17,764.
