What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
My car was involved in a accident where the front end crumpled but the airbags did not deploy. My daughter was the driver and she was traveling down a 6 lane highway at 30 miles an hour when a van coming out of a median crossed in front of her. She ended up "t" boning the van.
Due to this, my seat belt was completely loose, and felt as if I did not have one on. I slid down, and my ankles were bruised on top, and my baseball cap flew off into the back seat. Also, the airbag did not deploy.
Tl contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35 sedan. While driving in reverse out of a parking space driving at an unknown speed the vehicle accelerated, the rpms increased with her feet on the brake pedal.
The air bags did not deploy. The contact suffered neck and body injuries. A police report was filed. The contact had not called the manufacturer at the time of the complaint. The vin was unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
1)driver braked to avoid crash debris in road 2)driver behind auto rear-ended the car in which I was a passenger and both the driver and passenger seat were fully reclined as a result of rear-end impact.
The fuel gauge in my Infiniti G35x is malfunctioning and does not show the correct fuel levels. As a result, my vehicle has unexpectedly run out of fuel multiple times, causing it to stop on the side of the road.
Fuel gauge in instrument cluster malfunctioned, inaccurately reading more than half full. This caused me to run out of gas on a public road. In addition to the risk of becoming a stationary road hazard, I lost power brakes and steering when the gas ran out which caused me to almost hit the car in front of me.
While I was traveling on the highway at 70mph, the glass from my sunroof flew off of my vehicle onto on coming traffic. There is no active recall for this and it seems that may other people have had this same issue.
