What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The car surged forward, over a sidewalk, down an embankment and into a wall. The first time the car surged forward like that was in 2008 and the service department told me there was nothing wrong. This time, the crash caused irreparable damage and my car was totaled.
When I touched the brake light to come to a complete stop the car surged forward with such a force that it hit the wall that was approximately 3 foot in front of parking curb. If it hadn't have been for the wall the car would have gone over.
Three times in the past 4 years, the air bag warning light was triggered when the battery was either disconnected/reconnected or jump started. Each time to re-activate the airbag safety system, I had to send out the air bag control module to have it reset.
The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the air bag warning light flashed intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the Occupant Classification System (OCS) varistor in the front passenger seat had failed and needed to be replaced.
Air bag light indicator on dashboard continually flashes off and onâ¦no reason for it to be doing so; i.e., the vehicle has had no impact to cause it to flash.
I'm confused because I thought you and infinity would want to know what caused the fire and if others with this model of.car were in danger of being set on fire.
Last night while I was sleeping, my car caught fire inside.it appears it started where the seat warmer button is(on the console). It was a big enough fire to reach the roof.
The vehicle has started to stutter upon taking off and shows signs of power loss. After much investigation, these g37s have a minor defect that causes the engines to run on low oil pressure. The part 'gallery gasket' is the culprit that causes these engines to, in bad cases, last only up to 100k miles.
