What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The air bags failed to deploy upon impact. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, and the front-end damage was repaired. The contact stated that the driver’s and passenger’s side third row headrests failed to remain upright and flopped backwards.
On July 21, 2026, while driving, the brakes failed. The brake pedal went to the floor and the vehicle would not stop normally. Multiple warning lights/messages appeared. I ultimately had to shift the vehicle into Park to prevent a collision.
Component/System failure & Inspection Availability The primary failure was the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS); the driver’s frontal airbag failed to deploy during a high-energy frontal impact.
Airbags failed to deploy in a front crash. Passenger side curtain air bags deployed, but none of the others deployed. The lane departure or lane keeping assistance did not work. The vehicle slowly swerved off of the highway with no safety features kicking in to help keep it on the road.
Again, 3 weeks later while I was driving home from Sam's club, the power steering light keeps flashing, I had trouble with the wheels i pulled to the side turned off the car for 5 minutes then light went off and I was able to drive again.
The contact stated that while driving in Reverse (R), the rearview camera was inoperable. Additionally, the odometer displayed kilometers instead of miles, the radio was inoperable, and the rear HVAC system was inoperable.
