What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Airbags did not deploy, and my head cracked. The windshield seat belt was on as I had bruising on my ribs and across my chest from the seat belt
The airbags did not deployed. The crash avoidance system did not alert. The vehicle was towed to the residence. No warning lights illuminated. The vehicle vehicle appeared to be destroyed but had not been officially deemed destroyed at time of report. No injuries were sustained.
The seatbelt force alone presented a serious safety risk to her and our unborn child. There were no airbag system warning lights prior to the collision, and the SRS appeared to be functioning normally.
The airbag didnt deployed at the time of accident. Mitsubishi outlander has 7 airbags , but nothing has comes out. This is very dangerous. God is really works for miracles coz me and my daughter are alive even were having pain in our body. I have photo and video inside and out of vehicle that airbags didnt deployed.
The car rolled back then slammed into my car again going just as fast. The airbags did not deploy and the seatbelts did not lock. The impact actually broke the seats the passenger and I were sitting in. There were extensive injuries that happened because of this.
Upon impact, the air bag did not deploy. There was minimal property damage to the building, but the car was totaled. The entire front end was pushed in. My son was able to exit the vehicle and luckily did not have any sever injuries.
