Was rear ended on highway and both driver and passenger seats upon impact where laid back.
The "Pre-Collision Assist not available" and the "Adaptive Cruise not available" messages were displayed. In addition, the contact stated that the accelerator pedal fractured in two pieces. No police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The accelerator pedal was replaced.
I was in a car accident on June 12, 2025, and my steering wheel airbag did not deploy correctly or function correctly. It was a front in straightforward collision.
Hood striker fasteners failed allowing hood to separate from striker at highway speed resulting in hood flying open, striking and damaging windshield and blocking view of driver.
The screen remained blank although the backlight was on. Turned the vehicle off and on, performed a reset, disconnected battery for more than an hour before reconnecting, checked fuses, etc., but the display did not correct. Unable to check speedometer, fuel levels, RPM, drive mode, etc.
On XXX at approximately 2:45 p.m., while driving south toward [XXX], the Ford Expedition developed increasingly severe rumbling and shaking and became difficult to control. All occupants noticed the condition. We reduced speed and pulled off at the first safe available location at approximately 3:00 p.m.
The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and occupied, the contact was informed by his grandson that the seat belt was not operating properly. The contact inspected the seat belt and became aware that the third-row seat belt rear passenger’s side seat belt buckle assembly was damaged.
My wife smelled a funny odor coming from the vents and was going to drive to the next exit and then noticed smoke. At that moment she wasn’t sure where the smoke was coming from. She put the hazards on and started pulling off to the shoulder thinking possibly it was the radiator.
