The contact stated while an employee was driving 65 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond as intended and stalled. The driver pulled to the right side of the road and waited for towing assistance. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue.

The driver reported an intermittent burnt oil smell from rear of truck. We found the axle leaking gear oil, with gear oil soaking the brake pads and pooling in the wheel. Took to Ford dealer, where it was confirmed by the dealer and repaired under warranty.
The contact also stated that the parking brake was not operative. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that no issues were found regarding the brake pedal and the abnormal sounds. However, the parking brake was repaired.
