What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Additionally, the contact then stated that all four tires exhibited cracks on the sidewall, causing him to inflate the tires daily. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed there were no nails in the tires. The tires were not replaced. The tires were replacement tires.
Doors locks and windows don't always work. Sometimes when I shut my car off it dies. Like I can't turn it back on. Running boards don't go up, can't lock it, nothing. Dead. Then 15 minutes later it's fine.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that a rod prematurely fractured into the fuel tank and a loud noise was heard. After parking the vehicle, the contact noticed that fuel had leaked onto the ground. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing.
The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer (reedman toll auto world, [address] #101, langhorne, [ZIP]) where it was diagnosed that an air bag sensor needed to be replaced.
When the car comes back on all gauge lights come on for a brief second. And the thermostat goes up a little bit because the fan had shut off for a minor second.
All 4 exterior door handles are broken because of a manufacturers defect which has been recalled in previous years. The doors will close and lock the passengers in the car on occasion and could cause a serious safety hazard in an emergency.
My bridgestone dueler h/l alenza tires are extremely dry rotted. So bad that the sidewall cracked bad enough to leak air. Tires still have lots of tread left.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 gmc yukon denali. While driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle idled, but failed to accelerate. The contact had to pull over to the side of the road and shut the engine off. After a few minutes, the vehicle restarted and was driven home.
