What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Despite the severity of the collision no airbags deployed and both front seatbelts failed. Error Codes: B0052:00 Deployment commanded; B0015:04 Driver seat belt buckle tensioner deployment loop open; B0022:04 Passenger seat belt buckle tensioner deployment loop open.
Cracked Dash - multiple cracks around the airbag module, made worse by airbag module replacement. Scared that if the air bags ever go off, the dash will shatter, throwing shrapnel all over the occupants.
Warning messages says engine speed reduced, stabilitrak system off. Unable to pick up speed, engine warning light on. Vehicle is shaking while driving.
We received a safety recall notice saying the propellant in this inflator may degrade after long-term exposure to high humidity and temperature cycling, which could cause the inflator to explode during a deployment.
Was driving down the road approached a corner hit a icy spot then dry spot spun me around and went into the ditch. Side air bags deployed. Did not hit any object or roll the vehicle. Also did not know anything about current recall on air bags for my vehicle.
Check engine light illuminated, then check stabilitrack, then engine power reduced.
At approx. 60,000 miles I noticed a crack in my dash above my control panel. I know have 2 more near the airbag. I am concerned about safety is airbag was ever to deploy...
Over a month ago I noticed a huge crack above steering column, the raised part. Knowing it was not a user error, I was planning on contacting gmc. Last week I noticed another crack on left side of air bag. I decided to look online and see if this happened to others. And yes it has.
