What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
On august 20, 2008 I took my brand new motor scooter q link sienna 150 - 2008 (3 miles mileage) for a short ride. Within five minutes of driving this vehicle I had what I found out to be a "tank slapper" - wobble wheel accident. Never had I or my insurance company been aware this life threatening accident could occur.
Dt*: the contact stated the rubber foot peg had a knob on the end. The contact's boot became caught on the peg and the contact lost balance when the vehicle was stopped. This caused the vehicle to crash in the driveway. The contact sustained minor bruises and the vehicle was dented.
The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited an abnormal clatter followed by abnormal stalling. The contact later determined that the bottom intake valve fractured from the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 508.
Tl contact owns a 2009 honda cmx250c. The contact stated that the clutch did not respond when it was engaged and the rear wheels became inoperable. The failure occurred while driving 10 mph.
Tl contact owns a 2007 honda cmx250c. He stated that nhtsa campaign id number 07v128000, engine and engine cooling is related his year, make and model. The motorcycle was purchased on september 14, 2009 and the mileage was 99.
It has 1400 miles on it and the clutch is slipping severely. I think honda should be held accountable for the replacement of these defective parts.the clutch assembly has to be replaced.
