What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Was hearing a weird noise (sounded like a AC unit ) got into car . Hit brakes to start car . Got massive vibrating effect felt in brake . Turned car on . Abs light and traction light came on . Worse noise then smoke coming from engine bay .
Went to drive 18 minutes away from where I originally parked to get something to eat. When I came back to my original parking spot, I went into work. Thirty minutes later, my car was on fire and completely gone.
The oil warning light was illuminated, with a clicking sound was coming from the engine. Additionally, there was smoke coming from the vehicle. The dealer where the vehicle was purchased was contacted, and the dealer sent a tow truck to tow the vehicle to the dealer.
The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V651000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.
The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact was concerned about mold and an electrical failure from the water intrusion inside the trunk of the vehicle. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
I maintain my car both the interior and exterior. The car is pearl white paint, it is turning yellow and chipping off the car. Social media has hundreds of complaint about the paint on hyundai cars. The paint is a manufacturer defect.I am asking for you to research and recall the paint on hyundai cars.
While driving at various speeds the vehicle hesitated and lost motive power. The speedometer showed a decreased speed. The vehicle failed to accelerate above 20 mph. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 60,000.
Shifting into 3rd or 4th gear results in a grind 9/10 times. The original transmission has already been replaced once and the brand new oem transmission is having the same symptoms only 12 miles later!
