Power steering has been going out intermittently. The first time was about a week ago at a light. One of my mechanics suggested it could be a battery going out, and wouldn’t you know it? My battery went out a couple days later.
The power steering on my car stopped working entirely right after startup and would not return after multiple restarts. The dealership has replaced the steering torque sensor but the problem returned less than a month later. Without power steering, the car is not safe to drive.
I was driving the speed limit, not going fast, when suddenly the power steering went out, it is an EPS system. I pulled over, cycled the car on and off and it fixed the problem, for now at least. I have seen several other people have this same issue, it needs to be addressed by hyundai.
