What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Both frontal air bags failed to deploy and both frontal seat belts failed to lock. This caused the passenger to sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The vehicle was towed to a garage. The cause has not been determined at this time. Please provide further details.
Consumer states while driving 50 mph he hit the drivers side box of the pickup head on and the air bags did not deployed, two were people injured (claim# 22-v567-395).
Accelerator pedal became stuck while driving. Tried jarring it loose with foot by tapping on it. Did not return to original position. Hit a snow drift, and then swung into phone pole . Then, hit a tree. Vehicle was totaled. Air bags failed to deploy. Two people were injured in accident.
Abs brake problems: when applying the brakes, pedal goesto the floor and the voyager does not stop at all, causing extended stopping distance. This happens during normal braking/smooth road surfaces, and no inclement weather. On september 27, 1999 van was involved in a rear end crash.
While in park with engine running, car lurched backward, trapping driver under car.
Buckle becomes unlatched when pulled or jerked, causing the child to become unrestraint.
The contact stated that she had to replace the window shield wiper motor three times in a one year period. The contact found nhtsa recall campaign id number: 99v189000 (visibility: windshield wiper/washer linkages), which dealt with the driver's side pivot assembly.
The contact was driving approximately 55 mph when the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle as it operated as normal. The failure began to recur intermittently so the vehicle was taken to various independent repair facilities where they were unable to diagnose the failure.
