Was driving at night going around a curve when the car jerked left sending vehicle into a spin. Hit bridge guard rail and car is a total loss. Toyota has a known issue with this LDA system in this condition. This is very dangerous system that Toyota needs to improve function.
Uncontrollable Sudden Acceleration 3 times while I drove the car, it suddenly and rapidly accelerated. Eventually, the car crashed and was totaled. The first time was 3/31/25 when my wife and I went to the car wash.
Sudden unintended acceleration. Pulling slowly into a parking spot and the car unexpectedly accelerated and crashed into another car which, in turn, crashed into a third vehicle.
The airbags did not deploy. My husband has been seen at and getting treatment from Scott and White in Temple Texas both inpatient and outpatient. He has a spinal cord injury from the wreck. Our car is surely totalled. . . My husband has used all of his acquired sick time, as well as vacation time.
The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, another vehicle crashed into the contact's vehicle; however, no air bags were deployed and the seat belts failed to lock. Additionally, the contact stated that on the instrument panel the air bags deployed warning light was illuminated.
I tried the e-parking brake to no avail. I then tried the power button for a few seconds. All the while hitting the brakes. By this time I was near the first big curve and had to steer. Given the terrain I didn't think I could drive onto a curb.
On November 17, 2022 at approximately 1:30pm the 3 1/2 month brand new 2022 Toyota Camry with approximately 5000 miles was being driven northbound on Interstate 85 in the left lane in dry conditions.
In late September 2026, at approximately 80,500 miles, my 2022 Toyota Camry SE (2.5L 4-cylinder, 8-speed automatic transmission) began making a whine under acceleration. The whine starts around 15 mph and fades around 65–70 mph, gets louder the harder I accelerate, and stops when I coast or shift to neutral.
