When stopped at a stoplight, in unbridled mode with one pedal driving engaged, the car surged forward on it's own. The surge forward caused my vehicle to rear-end another vehicle. I would assume the failure was the one pedal driving system and it is available for inspection.
As a result, the contact crashed into another vehicle while attempting to park. During the impact, the lower passenger light was damaged. No injuries were reported.
The contact stated that while driving slowly in reverse and reversing of a parking space, the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration and erroneously drove across the street before crashing into an apartment building wall.
Immediately after stopping the pre-collision warning activated and the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration crashing into the rear of a second vehicle and pushing the vehicle nearly 50 feet into and across the street intersection.
