I was driving down a city street. I went to slow down because there were cars in front of me. The car started accelerating and the brakes went out. I tried to avoid hitting a car in front of me. I hit the car and jumped the curb. I went into some bushes and the car continued to accelerate.
Gear shift cable broke and now the car won't go into park. I had to leave the car with the key in the ignition in low gear and doors unlocked.
My vehicle started smoking from the exhaust profusely without warning and not due to lake of vehicle maintenance. Long story short my taurus only had 112k miles on it and I had to replace the engine.
I have had my transmission rebuilt , my speed sensor replaced 2times and now my speedometer isnt working I have irratic shifting sometimes it hoes into gear and sometimes it doesnt .
I was driving home and the power steering light went on and 2 minutes later while in motion my steering wheel locked and I couldn't steer the car. Almost killed my self. My car only has 42,400 miles on it.
At about 10 mph the car suddenly lost power, a wrench lit up on the dash, and the check engine light came on. The car had no throttle response, the brake pedal was stiff, and it was hard to steer. It was still running but very roughly.
