Hit a deer going 53mph, and the air bags did not deploy. Truck dashboard said that air bags were deploying, and then that they had deployed, but the air bags never deployed. The emergency braking and collision warning system all worked fine.
The contact stated that while driving at 64 MPH, the vehicle stalled, resulting in a loss of power, power braking, and power steering. After three attempts, the vehicle restarted, and the contact drove to the residence safely.
After sitting for about 10 minutes, the engine restarted slowly and began making a knocking noise. The truck is currently at a Toyota dealership- Kerry Toyota awaiting inspection.
Repair orders from January 2024 to December 2025 show about 7 dealer visits: rear brake work three times including a rear pad replacement around 22,000 miles and an earlier rotor replacement, two drivetrain/shifting visits (first was could not duplicate) plus recall 24TA02, a check engine light diagnosis, and moisture…
The contact stated that while driving or accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle hesitated for 5–6 seconds before accelerating as intended, with a ticking sound coming from the engine.
Front seat belt alarm randomly goes off indicating that the seatbelt is not buckled. This occurs randomly at times 3-5 time a day or days without incident. I feel my safety is at risk because the vehicle does sense that the driver or passenger is buckled.
The contact stated that the TPMS warning light was illuminated. The contact was notified by the manufacturer that there was a TSB for the failure; however, the vehicle was not included in the repair. The vehicle failure mileage was 38,000. The tire failure mileage was 28,000.
On Saturday, XXX, while driving on [XXX] toward [XXX], our 2024 Toyota Tundra (VIN: [XXX]) lost power and stalled at highway speeds with the warning: "Ignition On / Engine Off – Stop in a safe place." I made an emergency lane change with 6 vehicles trailing closely.
