The contact stated that, upon coming to a complete stop, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. After which, upon attempting to apply the brakes and with the brake pedal depressed to the floorboard, the vehicle failed to stop, prompting the contact to switch off the ignition.
Airbags did Not deploy during car accident. This was the 2nd time, but 1st accident was minor because it was with a deer. The vehicle is available in the Towing company per police instruction. Driver had several bruises. Insurance companies are involved, have not hear anything about this specific situation.
The air bag failed to deploy. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The driver and passenger occupant sustained injuries to the neck, cheek and back however medical attention was not provided. A police report was filed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
Two and a half hours later my daughter informs me that she heard a loud bang and observed my vehicle had rolled down the drive way striking a tree. When I went to investigate I observed that my vehicle gear shift was in park. Also there were tire tread marks on the grass and not skid marks.
The parking brake sticks. This is an issue because the vehicle automatically applies the parking brake briefly when switching from neutral to first gear or reverse to prevent rollback. When this happens, the parking brake sticks, and the rear wheels lock.
Truck has 116k miles, started losing power and acceleration diminished. CEL and Trac Off light came on. Pulled over twice after experiencing same issue. Took to mechanic and diagnostic code P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire). Replaced 6 spark plugs to be safe, and replaced broken coil in cylinder 1.
There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to the map sensor and throttle body. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
