While driving on the interstate on August 13, 2026 I had the cruise control, lane assist, and steering assist active. The instrument cluster went completely black and at the same time I experienced unusual steering behavior which led to me going into the next lane and hitting another vehicle.
Three (3) times the forward collision avoidance (FCA) has engaged (full stop braking) when it was absolutely not necessary. All three times occurred while driving less than 30 mph on city side streets in Houston, TX.
The car's lane assist successfully kept itself in lanes on most occasions. Several software related notices on the car dash had been reported during the tenure of ownership and in no case was the dealership able to figure out what was wrong in any of the scenarios, one of the software notices on t
The contact stated while driving 15 MPH and depressing the brake pedal to decelerate, an unknown warning light was illuminated and a beeping sound was engaged. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to decelerate as intended and came to a sudden stop, causing another vehicle to crash into the rear of the vehicle.
While trying to start my 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL hybrid that was parked on incline with 13,000 miles on the vehicle, the gear shift was stuck on Neutral and we could not even turn-off the engine. The failure occurred onXXX while parked at XXX Market ([XXX].
While driving down the road, the engine randomly cut power and the battery died about 20 minutes later. Without any known cause, with all up to date maintenance and regular checks the vehicle stopped randomly.
All warning lights on while at highway speed. Initial event in July 2025 - repair done. Coincidental with recall notice related to cluster display. Blank screen/cluster display while driving on July 30, 2026 - with eventual repair within same week.
Main led screen black/green out. Back up camera safety functions failed & suffered recurring failure after being serviced 3x by the dealer. Corporate now been put on notice to discuss tesolution options. Thank god (so far) vehicle has not been involved in any accidents.
