The airbag did not deploy. Me and my 3 passengers were injured. The vehicle was not inspected. Allstate insurance auctioned the vehicle before it could get inspected. No warning lights prior to accident.
The warning lights don't come on but they still do not stop in time. In a parking lot I could not stop and hit a sign in front of the parking space. Will chevrolet fix the damage caused by my car. Also noted in a drive-through cannot get stopped in time when trying to follow cars.
The only thing is that my truck won't start anymore since then. I had my truck parked in a garage since the day we got home from the dealer and today 11/13/19 when I get to turn it on it just won't start.
Also, even with a direct side impact by the other vehicle, the side airbags did not deploy.
Second instance backing into parking space petel went to floor no brakes then petal came up and was extremely hard to press down hitting another vehicle in the process. After a period of time brakes went back to normal operation.
The smoke came out from the airbags through the dash and my airbag sensor light came on my alerts on the dash. If I wouldn't have prepared and braced myself then my face would have gone in the steering wheel. I didn't see a recall but is there a reason they didn't come out?
It had rolled down and out of the parking lot into an electric pole guide wire. But, after much research, video replay and trying to duplicate the problem, I think I might understand happened. You can actually put the gear shift lever in a position where it thinks its in park, without the transmission being in park.
The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed. The contact was not sure if a police report was filed. The contact received neck injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the body shop.
