The safety features automatic braking or lane keep assistance did not engage. The driver tried to brake the car did not stop nor did it seem to slow down by the distance it traveled. The car is possiblity a total loss, currently under review by insurance company.
On feb172026, I pulled in my driveway and car steering would not turn and hit my property.it caused extensive damage to my property police report was made and car end up in body shop. Steering wheel locked and car would not turn. Front end is completely damage.
The contact also stated that the air bags did not deploy during the incident. The contact was also unaware whether any warning was illuminated during the time of the incident. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to a body shop, where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was contacted.
The contact was unsure whether there was a warning light illuminated. The contact was unsure if any other vehicle had crashed into his vehicle. The driver-side air bag did not deploy; only the driver-side curtain air bag and the passenger-side air bags deployed. The contact was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
I came nearly to a full stop, but then with my foot still on the brake pedal, the car surged forward as if I had floored the gas pedal. I kept pressing very hard on the brake pedal, but the car kept speeding forward. I was able to steer in between 2 oncoming cars without hitting them.
The brake system failure warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the airbags failed to deploy. The vehicle was not deemed a total loss. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home address. The contact's wife sought medical attention for chest, back, and neck pain. A police report was not filed.
The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 15-20 MPH and attempting to come to a complete stop, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. As a result, the driver briefly lost control of the vehicle before coming to a complete stop by intentionally running into a curb on the side of the roadway.
I was rear ended in an accident. My seat back broke and the metal frame twisted. When j came down my back hit the middle of the bolstered side of the seat.
