That bulletin states that certain 2018–2019 Ford F-150 vehicles equipped with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine and built on or before May 21, 2019, may develop an oil leak from the engine oil pan RTV seal. Ford's specified corrective procedure involves replacing the oil pan with one equipped with a press-in-place gasket.
So, the transmission is slipping and causing the truck to lose power and jerk and not shift properly. I have had it looked at found out that the same transmission that was on a recall for other trucks is the same that is in mine, yet NO recall has been made.
Check engine light on, engine is sluggish when accelerating especially from a stop. Cam phasers malfunctioning causing rough idle and issues with accelerating. This has posed a major issue when attempting to pull out into traffic and not being able to accelerate ahead of incoming traffic.
Driving on two lane road, approximatly 45-55 mph, collision warning on dash and audiable message to avoid impending accident. There was no obstruction in the road. Has happened two times in the past 4 months. Once in daylight with clear weather, once nighttime and light rain. Both times temperature was 60-70 deg F.
The warning blares when you are passing a stopped car on your left scares the heck out of you. As for a date listed below it happens occasionally.
Vehicle transmission slips in lowers gears and will not shift to help the vehicle accelerate. This put the vehicle at stand still on busy roads and will present a hazard. vehicle has approx. 86,000 miles.
The contact stated that after hauling a travel trailer and unhooking the vehicle, the parking brake and other lights started flashing and the instrument panel illuminated. The 911 assist was disabled. A part of the power steering was inoperable.
The contact exited the vehicle and became aware that the front driver’s side control arm had fractured and the subframe and the whole front end of the vehicle were on the ground. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty.
